1919 Kitchen Tap

Inspiration for 1919 Kitchen & Tap was pulled from the feedback of area residents, their love of great food and their appreciation for authenticity. In keeping with those values, the menu is focused on taking new approaches to old favorites. The restaurant incorporates fresh and seasonal ingredients into its offerings, with an emphasis on sourcing locally.

In addition to the great food, 1919 Kitchen & Tap has 80 beer taps with nearly 40 rotating types, a variety of bottled beers, and a selection of thoughtful cocktails.

1919 Kitchen & Tap features industrial, yet warm and rustic finishes to complement the welcoming atmosphere you have come to expect from Lambeau Field. It’s a casual restaurant with an elevated approach, bringing the Green Bay area a deliciously different dining experience.

I enjoyed my time at 1919 Kitchen and Tap. We met for business and casual drinks were easy around the bar. There was plenty of room to stand while another associate sat at the bar. The tables are big enough to hold a large crowd, but we were still able to talk to people on the other side of the table. The food was great. We tried the beer cheese and cheese curds to start off. Delicious finger food. They have a wide variety of alcohol beverages. I tried a blue bobber for the first time, it was unique. The main entrée was good. Again, good variety of food (burgers, steak, flatbread pizza, etc.) PLUS in your Lambeau Stadium. Pretty darn cool.

They served my salmon nearly raw. Terrible. And while they apologized for the issue, they didn’t even offer a discount or free bee on the bill. Disappointing. I’m sure if I was a jerk about it, they would have done something. But you shouldn’t have to. Mind you I’m 9 months pregnant and this could have been really bad for me and the baby had I not seen it right away. my husband are without me while I had to wait for them to cook my food all the way through. Ruined our 11 year anniversary dinner.

bartenders were poor at best and all we wanted was a pint of beer, beer was way over priced for tap beer even for being in Lambeau ($10.00 a glass) food server was better, ordered the Friday night fish fry.( In Wisconsin Friday night fish fry the have to get this right.) Wrong fish was fried to death, fries were over salted. NEVER AGAIN and I will tell my friends.

MY wife is a share holder and were are both big Packer fans the restaurant just does not hold up to where they should be. -(

The server did not check in on us frequently enough and did not appear to want to wait on us (she gave us the check and was gone before I could get my credit card out). My entree had under-cooked sections (meat appeared to be uncooked near the bone but was cooked everywhere else). Server only checked in after we took a few bites and did not check in on us until after we finished eating. This is the second time I have eaten here (different days and time of day) and both times the service was slow.

I made my reservation 2 weeks prior to dining. We had tickets to see a comedian so we needed to be seated close to our reservation time. Unfortunately we were not. We arrived 20 minutes prior to our reservation for 10 people and saw 4 large tables open. We were told our table was not ready and to grab a drink and check back. They sat all 4 large tables just 10 minutes prior to our reservation time and then had no availability for us. We were not seated until 30 minutes AFTER our reservation time. We asked the host if our table would be ready soon and he snapped at us we are busy, you’re going to have to wait We knew it would be busy that’s why we made a reservation! When we told our waitress we had tickets and needed to be out of the restaurant within the hour she was rude and barely came back to our table. She would walk away in the middle of a sentence. (Her name was Josie) The food was great but your staff needs some serious work.

We visited this restaurant during a full day visit to Lambeau field. We did a tour of the field, the hall of fame and finished here. I am glad we dined there for the full Lambeau experience but I would not make it a normal spot to go. The staff was not very friendly, our waitress seemed very overwhelmed and it was off peak dining hours. We got the cheese curds for an appetizer which were very good! I got the beer cheese bisque expecting a rich cheesy soup and it was pretty watery. For $6 I did expect a bit more. We got burgers all around and while they were good, nothing above and beyond other burger joints. Overall great for the experience but not a place I would go to again and again.

First, I have to admit being a huge fan of American Football. Whether or not you are, will strongly influence your experience of the 1919 Kitchen Tap. This restaurant is not simply near Lambeau Field, it is *PART OF* the stadium. (In other words, not a place you can casually or easily visit during a Packers home game.) The timing of a quiet Friday evening in summer, before the start of the season, was excellent to see and experience the ambience without being overwhelmed with crowds. The selection of beers is quite good; I enjoyed the Stone Arch Stout. (I also had a delightful green-and-gold cocktail, tasty and not too strong. Ask for it.) For those who want smaller portions, there are some challenges, but the lamb meatballs were delicious and a good smaller size. I also strongly recommend the strawberry rhubarb cheesecake (a different type of Wisconsin staple). I very much enjoyed my visit, and the food, and the experience.

We had friends in town from Baltimore and they have never been to Lambeau. We had a nice table and the waitress was friendly enough, however it took over 10 minutes for her to come to take drink orders. It took at least another 10 minutes to bring us our drinks. Then, it took another 15 minutes for her to come back to take our food orders. We were seated for over 30 minutes before our food order was taken. They then brought 3 of us our food (burgers) while the other three waited another 10-15 minutes for their food ( 2 salads and a pizza). It was not overly busy and at no time did they acknowledge they were sorry for the delays. We had to go find our waitress 3 times to ask for something. The food and atmosphere was good but very poor service and not a very good dining experience.
