Easy to use and to download – no bugs, no fuss and I love the metric system US should of changed to m, cm, mm when the rest of the world had the wisdom to change from inches and feet. Being proud doesn’t allow for progress or growth – this is a fantastic free kitchen design software for those countries who moved with the times and use m, cm and mm.

I’m using this on windows 7 and it works fine – even though the specs say it’s for older systems

Would not load

seems like a good program if I could get it to run

Can anyone tell me why it seems to download the software on their computer and not mine. I’ve tried a mac and multiple pc’s. Any thoughts?

OK but not in US measurements

For free, not a bad program

It takes too long to convert inches and feet to CM. etc.
If this program expects wide spread use in the US it needs to be expanded to do both measurements and the user sets which form of measurement they prefer.

Nothing better for free exists.

Great tool for kitchen modeling. Large library of standard kitchen parts.

Some color schema definitions are not so user friendly. But it works.

Nothing better for free exists.

Easy to Use
Drag and Drop
File Size Small
Quick Conversion to 3D

Need more paint colours for walls
Require Easier format for L-shape and others

I bought a programme for R500. Returned it as it was totally useless. Downloaded ALNO. Download was quick and without any problems.I thoroughly enjoyed using ALNO. Was easy to learn. Within 4 hours I had the perfect Kitchen consisting of 36m2. Battled a bit with the L-Shape. Would be nice if it could have a bigger variety of open Shelving in a Country / Cottage Style. Recommend

Very simple to use and great fun.

I didn’t like when I looked at my design in 3D then wanted to go back into plan mode the whole thing locked up every time. Moving around the room in 3D could be easier.

Easy to install and use for planning. Plenty of options to include furniture you already have. You can even change the floor and wall tiles. Good fun changing the colours etc and seeing how the room will eventually look. Not that easy to move around on the 3D screen and it kept freezing every time I changed screens, so it is essential to save your work before going to each new screen as you will probably have to close the application and reopen it several times.

so so, not great, needs work

Great attempt at designing a design utility. Has great potential but needs work.

The cm measurement thing has to go if this will ever be saleable in the USA.

Ok if you live in Europe. Useless in the US. Everything about designing a kitchen is measurements. Everything gets measured in all dimensions. Measuring in cm’s kills this program and ultimately prevented me from spending money on it.

Less than 5% of the work uses British Imperial measurements – the other 6 billion people use metric. The Brits don’t even use Imperial anymore. Buy yourself a metric tape measure and get over yourself already.
